Transcribers notes: : for those listed with a letter instead of maiden name, I will include the maiden name in parentheses. And list the connections at the bottom of this list.
The Roberson family moved to Craven Co. from Greene Co. between 1910 and 1920. The area homes near this old home place and cemetery are occupied by the children of this family. The family changed the spelling of their name from Roberson to Robinson upon moving to the area. However, several of the boys did not change the spelling and continued with the original spelling of the name. The change came about because of a dispute that occurred in Greene Co. thus causing the family to feel that they needed to move to protect their self.
