CLITHERALL to PATIENCE POWELL State of North Carolina: Craven County: This Deed made this 4th October 1887 by GEORGE B. CLITHERALL of Mobile County and State of Alabama of the First Part to PATIENCE POWELL of Craven County and State of North Carolina of the Second Part. Witnesseth: That said GEORGE B. CLITHERALL in Consideration of $200.00 Dollars to him paid by PATIENCE POWELL. The receipt of which is hereby Acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these Presents doth bargain, sell, and convey to said PATIENCE POWELL and her Heirs the following Land in Craven County, State of North Carolina. Adjoining the Lands of MARY B. SMITH; WM. COLLIGAN'S Heirs and Others bounded as follows. Viz: Beginning at the Corner of Queen Street and SCOTT’S ALLY in the City of New Bern, NC and Running an Easterly Course along Queen Street 58 Feet to MRS. SMITH’S Line, thence with her Line a Northwardly Course 75 Feet to the COLLIGAN’S Lot, thence a Westwardly Course along the Division Fence of said COLLIGAN’S Lot and the Lot hereby Conveyed 46 Feet to SCOTT’S ALLY, thence a Southwardly Course along SCOTT’S ALLY to the Beginning . To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract, Lot or Parcel of Land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said PATIENCE POWELL, her Heirs and Assigns in Fee Simple forever. And the said GEORGE B. CLITHERALL covenants that he is Seized of said Premises in Fee and has a Right to convey the same in Fee Simple, that the Same are free and clear from all encumbrances and that he will warrant and defend the said Title to the Same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the said GRANTOR, GEORGE B. CLITHERALL, have hereunto Set his Hand and Seal the day and year above written. GEO. B. CLITHERALL Attest: F.E.
