Obituary of Buck Ginn Harrison, Sr ~ 1997

   GRIFTON – Buck Ginn Harrison, Sr., 59, of 3948 Morris Drive died Thursday, 
July 17, 1997 at his home.  Mr. Harrison was employed for 17 years by Franklin 
Sunbeam Bakery and served in the United States Navy for four years.  He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Albert and Annie Mozingo Harrison, 
Sr., and one brother, Rev. Raymond Albert Harrison, Jr.  Funeral services will be 
held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Rev. 
Tommy Tripp officiating.  Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Kinston.   
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Huggins Harrison of the home; a son, Buck 
Ginn Harrison and wife, Inger of Grifton; a daughter, Monica H. Batts and husband, 
Jimmy, of Winston-Salem; and a daughter, Annie Laura Harrison of Grifton; two 
sisters, Dixie Harrison Maiers of Burk, VA, Sue Harrison Moye of Greenville; five 
brothers, Max D. Harrison of Kinston, Frederick Millard Harrison of LaGrange, 
Nathan O. Harrison of Picayune, MS, Pat R. Harrison of Rocky Mount and 
Kenneth G. Harrison of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Christen Laurel Harrison, 
Harrison Mathis Batts and McDaniel Ginn Batts.  The family will receive friends 
from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the funeral home and other times, at the
