Carmen Beth Willis Kennedy, 51, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Craven Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sea Level and was a member of Williston United Methodist Church, and worked with Carolina East Realty. She is survived by her loving companion, Joey Bender; two sons, Laurie Blake Kennedy and James Richard Bender; three daughters, Heather Jo Hawkins, Hannah Rose Bender and Jodie Ann Tripp; father Mr. and Mrs. Laurie Willis; mother, Glendora Hadder; brothers, Darrell Willis, and Johnny Hadder; two sisters, Candace Christian and Patricia Scott; and seven grandchildren, Alyse Hawkins, Hailey Bender, Colby Hawkins, Abbie Bender, Connor Hawkins, Chloe Eubanks and Emerie Ann Tripp. Funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Pollock-Best Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bridgeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday and other times at the residence, 454 Half Moon Road in the Bridgeton community. Flowers are welcome but those who prefer are asked to help the family with funeral expenses.
