DOROTHY J. TILGHMAN Dover—Dorothy Bland Jarman Tilghman, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at The Meadows of Pink Hill, N.C. Born April 4, 1916, Mrs. Tilghman was preceded in death by her husband, W. O. Tilghman Jr.; son Larry Alexander Tilghman and daughter, Dorothy Rose Daughety. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Hines and husband, Tommie; grandchildren Michelle French and Fiance Steve Jones, Richard Lee “Sam” Howell and wife, Penny, Alicia Scott Bolduc and husband, Gary; great-granddaughter, Renee Hill and husband, Ricky, Emily Thompson, Hannah Howell, great-great-grandson Dylan Hill; a special nephew Ghermon Lane and wife, Glenda; and her caregivers, the Angels of The Meadows of Pink Hill. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston, N.C. with the Rev. Wayne Lee officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday night, March 8, 2005 in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home. (Paid obituary)
