June 29, 1922. Charlotte Observer. DR. FRANCES W. HUGHES New Bern, June 27 - Dr. Frances W. HUGHES, prominent New Bern physician, died in the Union Protestant hospital in Baltimore this morning at 11 o'clock according to a wire received by William DUNN Jr., from his wife who is a daughter of the deceased. Dr. HUGHES had been in failing health for many years and during the past five years had resided in Baltimore, where he took treatment. He was in the hospital only a week. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Caroline W. HUGHES, three daughters, Mrs. William DUNN Jr., of this city, Mrs. William BOLAN.
