November 20, 1916. Charlotte Observer. PROMINENT RESIDENT OF NEW BERN IS DEAD New Bern, Nov. 19 - The funeral of George A. OLIVER, one of the best known citizens of New Bern, who died at the family home here yesterday after a five weeks' illness of heart trouble, was conducted from the home this afternoon. Rev. B. F. HUSKE, rector of the Christ Episcopal Church, officiated, with interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The deceased was a son of the late William OLIVER and for more than 20 years had been superintendent of the New Bern Cotton Exchange. He had been in ill health for several years, having been a sufferer from rheumatism, but it was not until five weeks ago that he was fatally stricken. He is survived by three sisters - Miss Mary OLIVER of this city, Mrs. F. M. CONSTABLE of Charlotte and Mrs. B. R. HUSKE of Fayetteville.
