May 19, 1916. Charlotte Observer LITTLE JOHNNY WETHERINGTON Kinston, May 18 - News reaches here of the drowning in a stream near Grifton of Johnny WETHERINGTON, 16, son of Mrs. B. T. WETHERINGTON of that section. The youth was swimming with a number of others, and was carried under by a whilpool. The body was not recovered for several hours.
