Ralph Hargett, Jr. - May 13, 2008 Ralph Hargett, Jr., 72, of 10880 Old US Highway 70W, Cove City, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill. Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2:30 PM in Bryant Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Cove City, with the Rev. Brian T. Cornelius, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the White Cemetery, Cove City. Ralph was a lifetime member of Bryant Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church where he served in many capacitites (such as Class Leader) and was actively involved in Bible School and Sunday School. He was a member of the 39'ers Club, a 1955 graduate of Newbold High School in Ft. Barnwell and employed with the Dupont Plant of Kinston for almost 33 years. He was predeceased by:his parents, Ralph Hargett, Sr. and Mattie Harris Hargett. Ralph will be forever cherished by: his loving wife of 49 years, Lettice Clementine Jarman Hargett of the home; 2 DAUGHTERS, Icsolene Hargett of Highland, California and Marilyn Jean Moore (Gerald) of Newark, New Jersey; 1 GRANDDAUGHTER, Monique Moore; 2 BROTHERS, Theodore Hargett(Celestine) of Brooklyn, New York and Clyde Hargett of Cove City; 3 SISTERS, Vonia Bell Clark, Ann Bishop (Joseph) and Doris Jackson all of Cove City; 2 BROTHERS-IN-LAW, James McCoy of Dover and Emmanuel Jarman of Kinston; 2 UNCLES, Dalton Hargett and Jobie Hargett (Etta) of Cove City; 2 AUNTS, Clarita Hargett of Cove City and Elizabeth Hargett of New Bern; and a host of NEPHEWS, NIECES, COUSINS, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 10AM-2PM at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern and on Sunday, at the church, one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the residence. His remains are resting peacefully in the care and comfort of Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., Jacksonville, North Carolina (910)347-9595
