R. J. DISOSWAY
New Bern, Sept. 16 -R. J. DISOSWAY, prominent church and fraternal man, died at a 
local hospital here Thursday night following an illness of several days.  The funeral will 
be conducted tomorrow by Dr. Daniel G. McKINNON, rector of Christ Episcopal church;
 
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula DISOSWAY; three daughters, Mrs. A. E. 
McLACKLE and Misses Lula and Catherine DISOSWAY, of New Bern; one son, William 
DISOSWAY, of New Bern; a sister, Miss Emma DISOSWAY, of Black Mountain; and four 
brothers, Mark DISOSWAY of New Bern, J. J. DISOSWAY of Atlanta, Ga., H. H. 
DISOSWAY of Brooklyn, N.Y., and C. C. DISOSWAY of Dallas, Texas.  Mr. DISOSWAY 
was in his sixty-fifth year, and a native of this city.  For several years he had been a lay 
reader in Christ Episcopal church, and he was a Master Mason, Royal Arch Mason; Knight 
Templar; and a member of the Knights of Harmony and the Royal Arcanum.
