February 26, 1922. Charlotte Observer. MRS. SARAH H. LANE DIES AT NEW BERN New Bern, Feb. 25 - The remains of Mrs. Sarah Holland LANE, wife of S. H. LANE, city tax collector, who died at her home here Thursday, were laid to rest in Cedar Grove cemetery here yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock after an impressinve service conducted by Rev. W. V. McRAE, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, of which the deceased was one of the oldest members. Mrs. LANE had been in failing health for several months, but only a few days ago did her conditions become serious. She was in her 70th year, and is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret H. HESTER and Mrs. Louise L. CHAPMAN, and a son, P. H. LANE, all of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Leath H. JONES and Miss Maggie POWELLl, and a brother, Hughes H. HOLLAND, of New Bern. Please do not contact me as I do not have any information on these individuals.
