WILLIE D. LEE  (August 14, 1959)

	NEW BERN – Willie Davis Lee, 54, of New Bern, died Wednesday in Goldsboro.  
He was an engineer for the southern Railroad and a native of Lenoir County.  He is 
survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. T. C. Williams of Rt. 4, New Bern; three 
sons, Ronald Lee of the Army, Harvey Lee of Baltimore, Md., and W. D. Lee, Jr., of 
New Bern; one sister, Mrs. Leonard McGhee of Kinston; one brother, Arthur Lee of 
Jacksonville; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Lee of Kinston, and nine grandchildren.  Funeral 
services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. K. 
Alvin Pitt officiating.  Interment will be in Green Leaf Memorial Park

WILLIE DAVIS LEE DIES IN GOLDSBORO (August 13, 1959)

	Willie Davis Lee, 54 of 228 Hancock Street, New Bern, died at 1 p.m. 
Wednesday while at the throttle of a train engine he was operating in Goldsboro.  
He was an engineer with the Southern Railway and had been employed by the 
railroad since 1921.  He was a native of Lenoir County and the son of thelate 
Davis Lee and Mrs. Sarah Coker Lee, who survives.  Mr. Lee had been a resident 
of Craven County for a number of years and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist 
Church.
	He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Lee; his mother, three sons, 
Harvey Lee of Baltimore, Md., W. D. Lee, Jr., of New Bern, and Ronald Lee, 
who is stationed with the United States Army in Korea; a daughter, Mrs. T. C. 
Williams of Route 4, New Bern; a brother, Arthur Lee of Jacksonville; a sister, 
Mrs. Leonard McGhee of Kinston and five grandchildren.
	The body will lie in state until 2 p.m. Friday, when it will be taken to 
Tabernacle Baptist Church to lie in state for one hour prior to funeral services 
at 3 p.m., with Rev. K. Alvin Pitt, pastor, officiating.  Interment is to be in 
Greenleaf Memorial Park.
